Linda Baumann is a professor in the School of Nursing. Her research, which examines how health beliefs influence health-related behavior, has been conducted with culturally diverse populations. Her current research and training efforts are to improve diabetes care in resource poor countries, specifically Uganda and Vietnam. She has also led student travel-study visits to Cuba, Honduras and El Salvador. Dr. Baumann was honored in 2007 as a Research!America Paul G. Rogers Society Global Health Research Ambassador.
